GD Topic - How can Indo-Pak relations be improved?

Theme :- Since the independence, India and Pakistan have fought  four wars (one undeclared war) and have engaged in a uncountable number of military standoffs . There have been numerous attempts to improve the relationship like  the Shimla summit, the Agra summit, the Lahore summit, but as a result nothing has changed,  notwithstanding the worsened conditions after the Siachen Conflict and the Kargil War of 1999. However, the ceasefire agreement of 2003 and the Delhi-Lahore Bus agreement  decreased some tensions. The 2001 Shimla attack, the 2007 Samjhauta Express attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the recent 2016 Pathankot attack, all resulted in the  disruption in the Indo-Pakistan peace talks. Growth in diplomatic and economic influence has increased the significance of their bilateral relationship.               Cultural and economic relations between China and India date back to ancient times. The Silk Road not only served as...

This idea of world non-violence is one motivation for people and nations to willingly cooperate, either voluntarily or by virtue of a system of governance that prevents warfare. Different cultures, religions, philosophies and organisations have varying concepts on how such a state would come about. Various religious and secular organisations have the stated aim of achieving world peace through addressing human rights, technology, education, engineering, medicine or diplomacy used as an end to all forms of fighting. Since 1945, the United Nations and the 5 permanent members of its Security Council  have operated under the aim to resolve conflicts without war or declarations of war. Nonetheless, nations have entered numerous military conflicts since then.         World peace theories:-   Many theories as ...

Group Discussion Topic:- Terrorism

Terrorism is, in the broadest sense, the use of intentionally indiscriminate violence as a means to create terror among masses of people; or fear to achieve a financial, political, religious or ideological aim. It is used in this regard primarily to refer to violence against peacetime targets or in war against non-combatants.               The terms "terrorist" and "terrorism" originated during the French Revolution of the late 18th century but gained mainstream popularity during the U.S. Presidency of Ronald Reagan  after the 1983 Beirut barracks bombings and again after the attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. in September 2001 and on Bali in October 2002. Being a charged term, with the connotation of something "morally wrong", it is often used, both by governments and non-state groups, to abuse or denounce opposing groups. Terrorism-related legislation has been adopted in various states, regarding "terrorism" as a crime....
